The Rincon Surfside Band were really just an alias for P.F. Sloan and Steve Barri, the production and songwriting team that eventually contributed to the careers of The Mamas & The Papas, Barry McGuire, and many others. Backing them were the Wrecking Crew, which turn what could be a minor piece of exploito into something pretty boss, as the kids used to say.
