A Star Fell Down on Indiana
Just like it did in the beginning of time
We all turned out to see what happened
Some of us laughed
Some of us cried
And together we held onto each other's hands
Until the last of us had died

The Sound Effects
From Timmy: "I came across one of the most detestable albums I have ever had to listen to. Horrific, blase, bland, halfhearted renditions of top-40 hits from 1973. All lamely done by a lousy band called the Sound Effects. Apparently, they recorded many albums, each focusing on different years, as advertised on the rear cover of this monstrosity, titled: 'Autumn '73.' " Thanks Timmy!

The Chicken Chronicles
Familiar tunes decorate this soundtrack to an obscure flick that featured none other than the fabulous Steve Guttenberg.

John Randolph Marr
Despite being produced by Harry Nilsson, arranged by George Tipton and released on Warner Bros., this charming period piece went nowhere. But now it can be yours.
John Davidson
Never thought I'd be into something like this. I mean, all I remember about this dude is that he was a slick game-show host with perfect hair and an Ultra Brite smile. But listening to it you sense that John was saying, "Take me seriously as an artist" in the same way that, say, Jack Jones did when he hooked up with David Gates on "Bread Winners." And it winds up being sort of cool, especially so because the Wrecking Crew is the backing band. At any rate, here's a fresh vinyl rip for you.
