Monkey Business

Here's a rip-off/cash-in record that tried to rope the unsuspecting into buying a faux Monkees album. It's not so bad, but it's also not so great. Read more about it here.

  1. Yes, thank you very much for this one, too.

  2. I saw this cover somewhere, back long ago. I brushed it off, thinking in the back of my limited mind, that it was The Banana Splits. I am so thrilled that you have caught my random clouded, polluted mind & cleared up one more dusty bit of my puzzling lifetime experience. I owe you for that.

  3. A fake record, by a fake band pretending to be another fake band. thats about as meta as you can get.

  4. Thank you very much! ...and so cool that you included the second album, "Monkeys a-Go-GO." A stellar post of (I assume) the complete Chimps. :)

  5. I was skeptical about these LPs at first, and I'm not crazy about the covers of actual Monkees songs. The 'originals,' are fun and certainly Monkee-esque. And the lead singer does a good Micky!
